"You can't stop the signal, Mal. Everything goes somewhere, and I go everywhere." - Mr. Universe (Firefly)
Electric Cyder is dedicated to sharing our knowledge of timeless electronica from the 1990s through the 201* era, with deep ’90s Florida roots. The soundtrack leans into classic Florida breaks, progressive house, and floor-thumping trance, curated from vinyl, tapes, CDs, and digital archives collected over decades.
The project grew out of the Florida rave scene and the long-running RaveTrax broadcasts. We focus on the full listening experience with a full analog conversion through EQs, compressors, and tube preamps with proper levels and live audio-reactive visuals driven by MD3ProVJ so the music feels like a moving, living artifact instead of a static playlist.
Electric Cyder maintains channels with curated and live DJ pop-up sets on several different platforms. Some sets are classic, some are modern, but everything is chosen to feel like a continuous late-night journey through those timeless eras of electronica music.
We've got some new ideas and some old ones lined up. We'll also be bringing back some of the older RaveTrax merch designs. Stay tuned... we're getting there. :)
Electric Cyder is built to look great on a big screen with full-resolution visuals, but we know not everyone has unlimited bandwidth (Starlink sub-1 Mbps clients, we're looking at you). For slower connections, data caps, mobile listeners, and off-grid connections, we maintain low-bandwidth stream options that prioritize audio quality while reducing video weight and audio-only streams (when available).
These alternate feeds are ideal if you just want to listen at work, keep the stream on a secondary device, or save data while still staying connected to the music. When low-bandwidth streams are available, you will find links and updated details here, along with recommended bitrates and players.
If you are experiencing buffering or playback issues, try switching to a low-bandwidth option first. For the 24/7 Twitch channel, the 360p option seems to be the favored choice so far. You can also reach out via email or Discord if you need help choosing the best stream or audio player for your setup.
